Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Port Angeles WA, ELCA, has an opening for a full-time Minister of Music to plan, coordinate and lead their liturgical and worship music.  S/he will serve as principal musician and direct both an adult chorale and a children’s choir, as well as serve as organist and pianist. Sand Point Community United Methodist Church, 4710 NE 70th St, Seattle, WA 98115, phone: 206-523-3040, seeks an Organist/Accompanist to play preludes, postludes, and hymns at their 10 am Sunday traditional worship service and accompany singers on organ and piano at Wednesday evening rehearsals. Keenan Dolan is their interim Music Director. Experience as an organist and vocal accompanist is required, with a degree in music preferred. Salary DOE. The organ is a 3-manual 1965 Balcom & Vaughan with 33 ranks, upgraded by Shantz to include an exposed Great and a console with multiple memory levels. Messiah Lutheran Church, 7050 35th Ave NE, Seattle WA 98115, seeks an Organist to play for worship services and accompany the choir. Messiah is a confessional Lutheran church that uses traditional liturgy and hymns. The organ is 25 ranks, 18 stops, built by Marceau. One Sunday service and evening services during Advent & Lent. Choir rehearsal is on Thursday evening from September to June. Annual salary is $24K with 4 Sundays paid vacation. St Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, 1240 NE 127th St, Seattle, WA 98125, 206-363-6767, continues to seek a Pastoral Assistant for Liturgy & Music to lead music at parish liturgies and other celebrations, including Saturday Vigil Mass and Sunday Mass and feast days. Schedule, rehearse, and direct choirs, oversee other musicians such as cantors, song leaders, choral groups, and accompanists. Faith Lutheran Church, 9041 166th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052, continues to seek a Director of Music Ministries to direct worship music and the Fine Arts at Faith (FAF) program. This is a 0.6 FTE salaried position with an annual salary range of $44-50 K. She/he will direct the Handbell and Chancel choirs, select and play instrumental music for worship services, including the Pasi, Opus 2 organ as well as and manage the FAF program. A Bachelor’s degree in music with extensive experience or a Master’s degree is required, with keyboard ability on piano and organ, as well as experience directing vocal groups and handbell experience. Experience as a team player with positive interpersonal skills is essential, as is past experience as a church organist. The position reports to the Congregational Council.
