Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 6220 NE 181st St, Kenmore WA 98028, seeks a Music Director to serve as an Organist, Pianist and Choir Director. Knowledge of Episcopal liturgy, the Book of Common Prayer and the Hymnal 1982 is preferred, as is a Bachelor’s degree in music with keyboard ability on both piano and organ as well as choral directing. A team player with positive interpersonal skills is essential. This is a part-time position with salary DOE. There is a small choir with a mid-week rehearsal and one Sunday worship service with organ, piano and choir at 10:30 AM. Additional services during the liturgical seasons. The organ is a 2 man. Balcom & Vaughn, Opus 739, reworked and enlarged to 21 ranks by Richard Bond in 1998. Bond provided new casework, enclosed the pipes and later added a new console. Mukilteo Presbyterian Church, 4514 84th St SW, Mukilteo WA 98275 is searching for an Organist for weekly worship and other liturgical services. S/he will play organ preludes, offertories, postludes, hymns and other service music for weekly worship services and during Holy Week and the Christmas season. The organist reports to the music director and collaborates with the church pianist. A bachelors degree in music is preferred with proficiency in organ and a minimum of 3 years service playing experience. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Port Angeles WA, ELCA, has an opening for a full-time Minister of Music to plan, coordinate and lead their liturgical and worship music. S/he will serve as principal musician and direct both an adult chorale and a children’s choir, as well as serve as organist and pianist. The church has a 2 man 24 rank, 30 stop Balcolm & Vaughn organ rebuilt by Bond, a Steinway B 7’ grand piano and 4 octaves of Malmark hand bells. Faith Lutheran Church, 9041 166th Ave NE, Redmond WA 98052, continues to seek a Director of Music Ministries to direct worship music and the Fine Arts at Faith (FAF) program. This is a 0.6 FTE salaried position with an annual salary range of $44-50 K. She/he will direct the Hand bell and Chancel choirs, select and play instrumental music for worship services including the Pasi, Opus 2 organ as well as and manage the FAF program. A Bachelor’s degree in music with extensive experience or a Master’s degree is required with keyboard ability on piano and organ, as well as experience directing vocal groups and hand bell experience. Experience as a team player with positive interpersonal skills is essential, as is past experience as a church organist. The position reports to the Congregational Council.
